  1. Dalam lingkungan bisnis saat ini, organisasi harus melakukan kegiatan usahanya secara efektif dan efisien untuk menjamin hasil yang diharapkan oleh pemangku kepentingan (stakeholders)
  2. Operasi bisnis yang unggul (operational excellence) tidak tersedia begitu saja, hanya organisasi yang secara konsisten menjaga pencapaian kinerja yang berkelanjutan dan telah teruji oleh waktu yang mampu mencapainya.
  3. Kegiatan Operasional (Operation) adalah kombinasi dari aktifitas teknis dan non teknis. Berdasarkan pengalaman dan analisa kami ada empat faktor utama yang harus diambil untuk menjamin tercapainya operasi bisnis yang unggul dan berkelanjutan (sustainable operational excellence).
  1. Kemampuan dalam mengidentifikasi dan memilih ukuran keberhasilan (KPI-Key Performance Indicator) di level organisasi adalah sangat krusial . Pemilihan KPI yang kurang tepat hanya akan memicu kinerja yang kurang baik dan menimbulkan kekecewaan.
  2. Kemampuan untuk mendesain proses bisnis yang tangguh dan selaras untuk menjamin bahwa seluruh aktifitas telah fockus dalam pencapaian visi dan misi yang sama. Setiap proses bisnis harus terukur (measurability) dan mempunyai penanggung jawab yang jelas (accountability), serta tersedia mekanisme kontrol (built in control mechanism) untuk menjaga kegiatan proses bisnis sesuai arahan dan harapan manajemen.
  3. Teknologi dipilih secara hati – hati dan diterapkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan organisasi, perlu dihindari “technology driven trap” serta menjadikan obyektif dari proses bisnis yang ditetapkan sebagai fokus utama
  4. People atau sumber daya manusia menjadi aktor utama untuk menyelesaikan setiap aktifitas yang didesain oleh organisasi. Sikap dan kemampuan untuk mengambil keputusan secara terstruktur dan berdasarkan fakta menjadi resep utama dalam mencapai operasi bisnis yang unggul (operational excellence).
